A successful group requires the input from many people. Subiaco Scouts is no different and is run by a team of dedicated and talented volunteers.
We ask that one parent from each family assist and support the activities of the Group and we value the engagement, experience, and input that all parents and grandparents can provide no matter how large or small.
There are many ways that parents and/or grandparents can be involved:
Become a Leader – receive full training and support from Scouts WA and existing leaders and join in the fun with the kids.
Become a committee member – not everyone is suited to being a leader but why not use your organisational, financial, grant writing or logistical skills to help behind the scenes?
Become an Adult Helper – want to help but can’t commit on a regular basis? We welcome you to assist the leaders as a registered helper for a Friday night activity once a term or as a transport driver.
There are many benefits of volunteering. The more you can contribute to the Subiaco Scout community, the more you and your children will get out of it. Make new friends, learn new skills, be rewarded watching kids grow and develop and have fun in the friendly and supportive environment that makes Subiaco Scout Group what it is.
Working with Children Card
All adults involved with the Scouting movement require a Working With Children Card (WWC).
Any adults having direct contact with children on more than five occasions per year, or attending an overnight camp, require a WWC.
